Employers have two major options to hire non-resident (foreign) employees

E PASS (Employment Pass).Chef recruitments which are usually Paid hotel internships usually requires Temporary Employment Pass.

Singapore immigration norms under Ministry of Manpower in Singapore, authorizes an employer to hire foreign professionals, managers and executives to work for their organization under E PASS in Singapore. First time visa can be granted for up to 2 years followed by an application of renewal which can be extended for up to another 3 years.

S PASS (Service Pass)

Singapore immigration process allows S PASS holder who are mid-level skilled staff to work in Singapore. Employer or Ministry of Manpower-(MOM) licensed visa agencies are only authorized to apply on behalf of the candidate for hotel recruitments. Initial visa can be granted up to 2 years and later it can be renewed as per Immigration norms.
